The School of Law currently provides an unprecedented number of clinical opportunities for students.
Students are able to hone their legal skills in actual practice, under direct supervision of attorneys, in the prosecutorial and criminal appeals areas on the criminal side, as well as in several areas of practice on the civil side—the consumer clinic, the domestic violence clinic, the juvenile advocacy program, the legislative clinic, the immigration clinic, the elder law clinic and the street law/food pantry clinic.
Funding for the civil law clinic in particular comes from private support, and an endowment is needed to assure that these important educational opportunities are preserved in perpetuity for future law students.
